Holmes Beach police arrested Adrian Hall, 22, of Bradenton, Jan. 3 on a second-degree felony charge for allegedly fleeing police with disregard for the safety of persons or property.
Hall, who lacked a motorcycle endorsement, also was charged with a second-degree misdemeanor for operating a motorcycle without a license.
With a passenger on his motorcycle, Hall allegedly was speeding in the 4500 block of Gulf Drive at about 4:08 a.m.
An officer attempted to stop Hall, who “fled at excessive speeds” and got away, according to a police report.
The officer contacted the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office to respond to Hall’s listed address. There, deputies contacted Hall’s father, who said he would speak with his son and have him turn himself in.
Later the same day, Hall turned himself in at the Holmes Beach Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Manatee County jail, where he was released Jan. 4 after posting $2,650 bond.
If convicted, punishment for a second-degree felony charge includes up to 15 years in prison, 15 years of probation and a fine of $10,000.
Punishment for a second-degree misdemeanor charge includes up to 60 days in jail, six months of probation and a fine of up to $500.
An arraignment will be Feb. 20 at the Manatee County Judicial Center in Bradenton.
