Anna Maria
Feb. 7, 100 block of Oak Avenue, reckless driver. A Manatee County sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a rental golf cart being driven on the beach. The MCSO checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.
Bradenton Beach
No new reports.
Cortez
Feb. 7, 4000 block of 119th Street West, 7:53 a.m., harassment. A complainant reported telephone harassment to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Holmes Beach
Feb. 7, 700 block of Manatee Avenue, probation violation. A Holmes Beach police officer observed a motorist driving a vehicle with an expired registration decal and conducted a traffic stop. The driver did
not have a valid license or car insurance and was on probation in Monroe County for a DUI offense. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended/revoked license and arrested for violating probationary terms.
Feb. 8, Waterline Villas & Marina, 5325 Marina Drive, domestic battery. A hotel employee reported a disturbance involving a woman who said her husband pulled her hair. She left before police arrived, but an officer spoke with the husband, who said there was a verbal argument. HBPD contacted the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office to check on the woman, who did not want to press charges. The man was escorted from the hotel and HBPD filed a capias request for a potential domestic battery charge.
