‘He is risen’

The 61st annual Kiwanis Club of Anna Maria Island Easter Sunrise Service at the Manatee Public Beach is well attended April 5. Worshippers stretched wide to the north and south of the alter, across the sand to the shore, for a “morning of unity and celebration” and a sermon titled “Risen” by the Rev. Lee Miller of the Episcopal Church. Also participating in the service were the Rev. Dr. Dirk Rodgers of Roser Memorial Church, the Rev. Stephen King of Harvey Memorial Church and the Rev. Gerald Critch of St. Bernard Church. Lt. Col. Darrell Shinn, retired U.S. Air Force, gave a military prayer.
