The Bradenton Beach Police Department assisted in the arrest of Angel Javier Berlingeri, 59, of Lakeland, May 12 on suspicion of driving under the influence.
While on patrol about 10:10 p.m. in the 400 block of Gulf Drive North, a BBPD officer received a report of a reckless driver.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Berlingeri, appeared confused and lethargic, had difficulty maintaining balance and needed support to stand upright.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to conduct a DUI investigation.
Berlingeri was arrested for DUI.
Berlingeri was transported to the Manatee County jail in Palmetto and later released on a $500 bond, according to court records.
His traffic arraignment is scheduled for June 18 at the Manatee County Judicial Center.
