Holmes Beach police arrested Delani P’Pool, 30, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, June 23 on four criminal charges.
The charges include:
- A third-degree felony for possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine — without a prescription;
- A first-degree misdemeanor for possession or use of drug equipment;
- Two second-degree misdemeanors for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and refusing to submit to DUI testing.
The arrest followed a traffic stop at Manatee Avenue and Gulf Drive. P’Pool failed field sobriety exercises and refused to provide breath samples for testing.
During a search of the vehicle, police reported finding a pipe and a bag containing 4.2 grams of methamphetamine.
An officer transported P’Pool to the Manatee County jail, where she was released June 24 after posting $3,650 bond.
If convicted, punishment for a third-degree felony includes up to five years in prison.
Punishment for a first-degree misdemeanor includes up to one year in prison.
Second-degree misdemeanors are punishable by up to 60 days in jail.
An arraignment will be July 30 at the county judicial center in Bradenton.
