As The Islander went to press, the three island mayors and the Island Democratic Club issued a joint announcement heralding a town hall-style meeting with President Barack Obama to be held Wednesday, April 1, at The Islander newspaper office at 5604B Marina Drive, Holmes Beach.
The time will be announced on an LED flashing billboard when the president’s caravan approaches the bridge to Holmes Beach.
