Jan. 1, 700 block of North Shore Drive, burglary. No forced entry was found after a home was burglarized. Items taken included a CD player, binoculars, fishing reel, a watch and other jewelry valued at $3,000.
Jan. 18, 100 block of South Bay Boulevard, lost property. A person reported a lost wallet.

Bradenton Beach
Jan. 17, 118 Bridge St., Sports Lounge, concealed weapon. Officers were dispatched to the bar on a call about a man carrying a handgun and causing problems with customers. A man allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at another person three times. When police arrived, they found a man who had a permit to carry his handgun and no one wanting to press charges. The officers seized the weapon and charged the owner with a misdemeanor for carrying a concealed weapon into a business that sells liquor.
Jan. 19, 200 block of Gulf Drive, warrant arrest. A man was arrested on a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office warrant for not answering a court summons. The Longboat Key Police Department alerted Bradenton Beach Police to the suspect walking west over the Cortez Bridge. After the suspect’s arrest by BBPD, he was transported and booked at the Manatee County jail.
Jan. 22, 200 Bridge St., city pier, disturbance. An argument in Pines Trailer Park, which consisted of yelling and displaying of buttocks, ended with a man’s arrest on a misdemeanor charge of resisting and opposing an officer after he failed to cooperate with police. The man was transported and booked at the Manatee County jail.

Cortez
Jan. 18, 10300 block of Cortez Road West, criminal mischief. A resident reported hearing a gunshot and finding a small hole in the exterior of his mobile home.

Holmes Beach
Jan. 13, 5912 Marina Drive, Island Gourmet, criminal mischief. The owner reported $800 in damage to the restaurant front window. Police observed a BB hole in the window.
Jan. 14, 7200 block of Palm Drive, license. Police issued a motorist a summons to appear in court for driving on a suspended driver’s license. The man also was cited for an expired and altered tag and no proof of insurance.
Jan. 15, 200 block of 64th Street, license. An officer stopped a utility truck without a tag attached to a trailer and determined the motorist was driving without a valid driver’s license. The truck and trailer were company vehicles. The driver advised police he would call his employer. Police issued him a summons to appear in court.
