While standing in line at the Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe order window, a Valrico woman began removing her bathing suit top and tugging on a nipple ring.
Holmes Beach police officers responded March 31 to the restaurant at the Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, and arrested Jaclynn M. Glover, 26, on charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition and disorderly conduct.
Witnesses, at least one with a young child, told police the woman intentionally removed her top, bared her breasts and fondled them, walked through the restaurant and sat down.
According to the HBPD report, Glover covered her breasts after requests by restaurant employees.
Cafe general manager Tanner Enoch said he had no idea what was going on until the police showed up to make the arrest.
“This was something between the customers,” Enoch said. “One of them saw something and called it in. No one working here knew it was happening until it was over.”
Upon her arrest, police reported she used vulgar language and became belligerent. She was transported and booked at the Manatee County jail.
Glover posted a $2,120 bond and was released.
A court date was set for 9 a.m. Friday, May 1, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
