A worker with C&M Dredging of Leesburg uses a front loader Sept. 15 to push sand at the beach at the Anna Maria City Pier, 100 S. Bay Blvd. Anna Maria public works director George McKay said sand is being moved from a pile at the north side of the Lake LaVista inlet to the bayside beach. The crew plans to form “tubs” of sand and then fill them with sand as it is dredged from the LaVista inlet. Islander Photo: Tal Reeve
