March 1, 200 block of Elm Avenue, disturbance. A person argued with a motorist about speeding while a child was riding a bike on the road. One person allegedly punched the motorist’s vehicle. No damage was reported or observed.

Bradenton Beach
March 7, 200 block of Bay Drive North, domestic aggravated battery. A man walked to the Bradenton Beach police station at about 1 a.m. to report a knife attack and an officer later found him waiting outside his residence with blood dripping down his leg. Medical emergency services administered aid and determined the man’s wounds were not life threatening. He told police his live-in girlfriend cut him with a kitchen knife, but he refused to sign an affidavit about the incident. Found sleeping in the residence, the woman told police the man cut himself and was making up the story to get her in trouble. She was arrested.

Cortez
March 3, 12400 block of 45th Avenue West, suspended license. After stopping a motorist for driving too close to deputies standing on the side of the road, MCSO arrested a 33-year-old Sarasota man for driving with a suspended license.

Holmes Beach
Feb. 29, 600 block of Dundee Lane, theft. A boat ladder valued at $400 was reported stolen from a front yard.
March 1, Domino’s Pizza, theft. A 46-year-old Michigan man reported his 26-inch black bike stolen while in the restaurant for five minutes.
March 3, 600 block of Hampshire Lane, theft. Two coolers and a wallet containing $200 in gift cards were reported stolen from an open garage.
March 4, Walgreens, 3200 E. Bay Drive, theft. Three women entered the store at about 2:30 p.m. One woman was caught on a surveillance camera leaving after concealing a bottle of Jim Beam, while the two others bought a box of baking soda. They may have left in a red Dodge Caliber.
March 4, Publix, 3900 E. Bay Drive, disturbance. A manager called the Holmes Beach Police Department after attempting to calm a Bradenton man who was yelling and cursing at employees at the deli counter. As officers approached the man, he began to yell. HBPD arrested him for disorderly conduct and also issued the man a trespass warning.
