Aug. 13, Rod & Reel Pier, information. A Bradenton woman was bumped off the pier after a wind gust sent a trash cart on wheels sailing into her. Restaurant employees assisted in bringing her out of the water. She declined emergency medical services.
Aug. 16, 700 block of North Shore Drive, burglary. A complainant reported a burglary at a relative’s residence.
Aug. 17, 500 block of North Bay Boulevard, burglary. An unknown person entered the patio and den area of a residence and took a television.
Aug. 17, 800 block of North Shore Drive, criminal mischief. Someone spray-painted a truck, causing an estimated $950 in damage.
Aug. 17, 300 block of Magnolia Avenue, confiscated property. Stopped for traffic violations, a Manatee County sheriff’s deputy found a woman with another person’s driver’s license. The deputy retained the license.

Bradenton Beach
Aug. 20, Sandpiper Resort, 2601 Gulf Drive, theft. A woman’s red bike — with #1 Yankee Fan” and “Ask Me About My Grandchildren” plates — was stolen.
Aug. 21, Coquina Park, 2650 Gulf Drive S., domestic disturbance. Bradenton Beach police responded to a disturbance where they found an Atlanta couple and MCSO. The deputy advised the BBPD he’d observed the man grab a pill bottle from the woman. The woman said she had no intention of taking the pills and the couple left without incident.
Aug. 22, Summer Sands condominium, 1007 Gulf Drive N., criminal mischief. A man reported the tires slashed on his 1999 Jeep Wrangler. Damage was estimated at $1,000. The man reported he had been having recurring flat tires for a week. When he stopped to have a repair shop check the tires, small cuts were observed.

Cortez
Aug. 11, 4300 block of 126th Street West, theft. An owner reported a theft of a bicycle and refrigerator. The items were valued at $4,350. The bike was returned.

Holmes Beach
Aug. 16, 4000 block of Gulf Drive, larceny theft. An unknown person removed the contents from a woman’s bag while the victim was dining at the Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe. Two iPhones and credit cards were taken, totaling $1,003.
Aug. 19, 71st Street at the beach, alcohol and glass container. A citation was issued to a man drinking from a beer bottle on the beach. The man said he was not aware of the ordinances prohibiting glass containers or alcohol on the beach.
Aug. 19, 400 block of Gulf Drive N., traffic citation. A vehicle was pulled over by Holmes Beach Police for failure to use a seatbelt and, after running the tag, the driver was issued citations for no proof of insurance and driving on a suspended license without knowledge. The tag was seized and the vehicle towed.
