Feb. 4, Blue Marlin Seafood, 121 Bridge St., disturbance. A 60-year-old man went to the Bradenton Beach police station saying he and his girlfriend dined at the restaurant two days earlier, where an argument ensued with a manager. He’d advised the manager his friend was sick and needed help. The manager escorted the friend to the bathroom and came back with the bill, which he told the man to pay and leave. The men argued and the manager crumpled up the bill and threw it at him.
Feb. 6, 200 Bridge St. anchorage, assist. Dispatched for a possible drowning, a Bradenton Beach police officer arrived to the bayfront near the city pier to find people screaming about a man struggling in the water. The officer enlisted a boater in a dinghy to carry him to the man, who was holding onto an anchor line. U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission boats arrived and the man was taken ashore. The man told police he was fishing when his rudder got stuck to one side, causing him to flip out of his boat and the boat to run amok.
Feb. 6, 200 Bridge St. anchorage, stolen boat. A Bradenton man reported the theft of his 10-foot dinghy — with an outboard motor, oars, life preservers and an anchor — after leaving it unsecured for a week at the dinghy dock.

Jan. 31, 2800 block of Gulf Drive, information. A contractor reported possible vandalism to a water pump at a job site. He told Holmes Beach police his workers found a PVC pipe disconnected from the pump, causing the motor to burn up. The contractor said he was alerted to several complaints from residents about the noise from the pumps.
