Charles Stephen Daniel
Charles Stephen Daniel, 86, formerly of Anna Maria, died April 3 in hospice care in Bradenton.
With a degree in criminology, he served in the U.S. Air Force OSI in the United States, Korea, Vietnam and Japan. He then worked as a cable-splicing technician for Southwestern Bell/SBC/AT&T for more than 25 years, retiring in the late 1980s.
He moved to Florida in 2000, initially residing on Anna Maria Island, then at Waters Edge in Bradenton. He had many friends wherever he lived. He will be fondly remembered, especially by the residents’ dogs at Waters Edge, who happily received the treats he offered.
He asked donations be made to Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center, 2207 Ave. B, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217, or St. Jude’s Hospital.
Mr. Daniel is survived by brothers William L of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Thomas C of Goreville, Illinois.
