Anna Maria
Feb. 15, 300 block of Magnolia Avenue, runaway, domestic battery. A parent reported a juvenile slapped a sibling, leaving marks, then fled before police arrived. Later that day, the juvenile was arrested in the 4700 block of Gulf Drive North in Holmes Beach and transported to a Manatee County juvenile booking facility.
Feb. 21, 600 block of North Bay Boulevard, suspicious circumstances. A man booked a vacation rental for a three-night stay but, when he arrived, he determined year-round residents occupied the residence. A report was filed.
Feb. 23, 100 block of Pelican Drive, suspicious circumstances. A woman reported her car window broken.
Feb. 24, 100 block of North Bay Boulevard, criminal mischief. An unknown person “intentionally and maliciously” caused $40 in damages to a public structure.
Feb. 25, 200 block of Iris Street, domestic disturbance. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a reported dispute between a man and woman. The deputy saw no signs of physical violence. MCSO was again called to the residence Feb. 28 for the same issue. Again, no physical violence was reported.
Feb. 26, 100 S. Bay Blvd., City Pier Restaurant, suspicious circumstances. A man ran a $149.95 tab in food and drink, asked the server for a “blunt” and offered $71 for his check. The man allegedly said he would be back the next day to pay his tab.
March 1, 10005 Gulf Drive, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Anna Maria, lost tage. A man reported the tag missing from his trailer and said it might have fallen off when he loaded his boat from the water to the trailer.

Bradenton Beach
Feb. 26, 900 Gulf Drive N., Gulf Drive Cafe, battery arrest. A man was apprehended after he reportedly became aggressive and attacked another man and a woman at the restaurant. The suspect was taken for processing to the BBPD, where he became belligerent and the attending officers used pepper spray. The man was transported to Manatee County jail.
Feb. 27, 2650 Gulf Drive S., Coquina Beach, bike theft. The complainant reported he left his bike unattended while he used the restroom. He said the bike was valued at $200.
Feb. 28, 2500 block of Avenue B, grand theft. A man reported a pressure washer, air compressor and Troy-Bilt generator missing from his back porch. The total value reported for the missing items is $725.
March 1, 1301 Gulf Drive N., Silver Surf Inn. A woman reported $300 missing from her wallet while it was left in her hotel room. According to the desk clerk, no staff entered the room during the time the woman was gone.

Cortez
Feb. 20, 3600 block of 117th Street West, dog bite. A woman reported a dog bit her while she was sitting on her porch. She declined emergency medical service, but filed a report.
Feb. 21, 4400 block of 119th Street West, found property. Following the Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival, a person approached an off-duty officer and turned in a black LiftMaster garage-door opener with one button.
Feb. 24, 4400 block of 125th Street West, domestic disturbance. An officer responded to a reported verbal dispute between a man and a woman. The officer determined the dispute was not physical. However, the woman was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
Feb. 26, 3800 block of 117th Street West, battery. A woman reported an argument with her husband turned physical when he screamed in her face and pushed her. The man had left the residence when the officer arrived and a capias request was completed.

Holmes Beach
Feb. 26, 3200 block of East Bay Drive, marijuana possession and paraphernalia. A female driver was stopped by an officer for not wearing her seatbelt. The officer determined she had a lighted marijuana cigarette in the vehicle, as well as 3.7 grams of loose marijuana, rolling papers, a grinder and a pipe. The officer issued the woman a safety-belt citation and a notice to appear in court for drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
Feb. 26, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, alcohol violation. A lifeguard reported two women consuming alcoholic beverages by the volleyball courts. The officer issued ordinance violations to both women.
March 1, 52nd Street beach access, alcohol violation. Found with beers on the beach, an 18-year-old and two juveniles were cited for violating a city ordinance.
March 1, 6504 Gulf Drive, White Sands Beach Resort, fraud. A man checked into a room and left the next morning without paying for his stay.
March 2, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, theft. A woman left her beach bag on the beach while she and a friend took a walk. It was missing when she returned. The bag was later found, contents intact, by a county employee near the concession stand. As of March 3, the bag was still unclaimed.
