The Holmes Beach Police Department arrested three people Aug. 6-9 on second-degree misdemeanor charges for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Convictions for second-degree misdemeanor charges carry sentences of up to 60 days in jail, six months of probation and a fine of up to $500.
Arraignments for each case will be at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
The HBPD arrested Cassandra Oechsle, 39, of Indianapolis, Indiana, during a traffic stop of a low-speed vehicle in the 3100 block of Gulf Drive around 1:36 a.m.
Oechsle, who had an open THC-infused beverage, failed field sobriety tests and exceeded the state’s legal blood alcohol limit in breath samples, according to a police report.
Oechsle was taken to the Manatee County jail, where she was later released the same day after posting $500 bond.
An arraignment will be Sept. 15.
Conner Hidalgo, 23, of Bradenton, displayed signs of impairment during a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Gulf Drive around 2:56 a.m. Aug. 7.
Hidalgo refused to perform field sobriety tests but provided two breath samples that exceeded the legal limit.
Hidalgo was then taken to the jail, where he was released later the same day after posting $500 bond.
An arraignment will be Sept. 10.
Christian Jason, 45, of Bradenton, was arrested around 8:50 p.m. Aug. 9 in the parking lot at Island Bazaar, 3304 E. Bay Drive.
Jason, who displayed signs of impairment, failed field sobriety tests and then refused to provide breath samples for testing.
That resulted in an additional second-degree misdemeanor charge for refusal to submit to testing.
Jason was released from jail Aug. 10 after posting $650 bond.
An arraignment will be Sept. 15.
